Overview

The University of New England campus offers a beautiful retreat-like setting for our annual meeting. Its modern facilities, medical school, and convenient location make it ideal for a conference like NESIFS. With the city of Portland just 20 minutes away and access to beaches and coastal walking trails, attendees will be able to make the most of their free time on our scheduled half days. Housing and dining will be offered on campus within walking distance of the conference venue, and our annual lobster bake reception will be held on the water at Ripich Commons. We're excited about our new partnership with UNE and to see what you make of our new home!

Housing

Housing is available in air-conditioned apartment-style dormitories. Each "apartment" has four bedrooms, two restrooms, a common room, and a kitchen. Guests will have a private bedroom but share the restrooms, common room, and kitchen with three other guests. Bedrooms are secure and private. They contain a desk and chair, a wardrobe or dresser, and one full-size bed with sheets, a pillow, a blanket, and bath towels. The common room has a couch and chair, but no TV and the kitchen has a refrigerator, sink, and microwave but no coffee maker.

Housing accommodations on campus are meant to provide affordable housing options within walking distance of our venues. Be advised that though UNE's apartments are convenient and modern, they are designed for college students and will not provide the same comfort as a hotel room. Guests must register for housing prior to the conference using our online registration form.

Meals

All-you-can-eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner are available daily in the University of New England’s beautiful ocean-view dining hall at Ripich Commons. UNE Dining is committed to providing menu items for all dietary needs and restrictions, including allergen-free, vegan, and vegetarian options. Halal and Kosher options may be provided upon request.  Please include any information about dietary needs and restrictions in our registration form and contact info@nesifs.com with questions.
 
Please note: Meal plans must be purchased through our online registration. Pay-at-the-door dining is not available at UNE. Meal plans are included with on-campus housing. Guests staying off campus may purchase  Lunch-only and Dinner-only meal plans, which include four meals each, to be used on specific days during the conference. The lobster bake is not included with meal plans or housing.
